We are defining a new America

Welcome To the New African and African/American Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist Website

Welcome to our New African and African/American Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist Website. This site is not an African Buddhist site, nor is this site an African/American Buddhist site, and finally this site is not a Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist website. This site is best described as only a website developed by Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist who happens to be an African/American or Black.

The issues of race and circumstances or Karma are taught broader in Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism perhaps than any religion or philosophy taught to mankind. The essence of the religion can be categorized via the Nichiren theory of Ichinen Sanzen or 3000 worlds in a momentary state of existence. Later we will explain the 1000 worlds but for our welcome we will deal with the three realms of existence. The first of the three realms is the realms of the five components; 1.Form 2. Perception 3. Conception 4. Volition 5. Consciousness. The realms of the five components are literally a temporary combination of phenomena and race is only one aspect of universal phenomena. In plain and common sense language if you view our website from only the prism of our only being a Black website will lend one to view us via a myopic prospective. Nichiren Shoshu teachings are more prolific and broader than any racial category.

The second realm of existence is the realm is the realm of Living Beings and this refer to the truth that the lives of each person experience different worlds of the ten worlds. We will deal with the ten worlds later as well as the ten aspects later in this website. In order for us to focus our scope we have narrowed our definition of this site to Africans and African/Americans prospectives to explain Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism in a cultural framework. In common sense terms this is like a Black radio station or cable or satellite television that offers different prospectives of reality. This site is a cultural site rather than a racial website.

This website is designed specifically to reach an African and African/American audience however we are not limited to just an African/American audience just like a radio station is not limited to any single ethnic group however each station has a target audience. This site provides our readers with the neglected African and African/American prospectives of Buddhism. The other sites are very specific and general.

We make this point clear that although we are officially Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist and if anyone is interested in practicing Buddhism we direct them to our Nichiren Shoshu temples please be clear that the Nichiren Shoshu temples are not associated with our website and it may surprise you to find that many Nichiren Shoshu temple members fear and some members oppose this website.

In some of our African/American schools we are at a crisis level of only a 52% graduation rate in high schools even some of our whites schools in America are at a 72% graduation rate. We are in a serious social crisis in America and Buddhism can help many to develop to become great citizens. It is time we get outside the box and bring Buddhism home and communicated in a way to reach common people. This website is designed to disperse Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism in a common language.
