Please click on the picture of Mr. Alan Billups and read what we write about Alan on our Website. Alan is a published author and a real “Buddhist Scholar.” When you click on the second picture you will see a video titled “Japanese Buddhist Propagation Methods in America is an Assault on Black Culture.” In this video Mr. Alan Billups is the ultimate example of racism in Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism. Please note what Alan writes to me below. Alan writes: . There is no master guiding your life or actions at this time, which means your mind is now your master. There is no objective destination for you in this condition. The Nirvana Sutra states,"the impediment of all karma's is produced from ones false imagination." Mr. Alan Billups of all the people in the world know that he cannot come to Anthony “Amp” Elmore with nonsense. The Gosho teaches us that the “Lotus Sutra is our Master.” You cannot just make a statement to Anthony “Amp” Elmore and not back yourself up without doctrine. Please check out the above video of Alan Billups. Please note that Alan is my friend. It was me who posted the Alan Billups Greg Martin Debate on my website. Alan debated Greg Martin who was the USA SGI Study Chief over 20 years ago. Many things that I have to study Alan can come out of his head. I know of very few people who have a greater insight into understanding the science of spirituality better than Alan Billups. Alan is a certified energy healer.
While Alan is my friend I have grown to be very embarrassed by what Alan has become. Every now and then I read a posting from Alan on Facebook. What is clear about Alan is that he post things he did over a decade ago. This brother has become “Stuck” and while he is an “energy healer” he needs a “Wake up call” and become the Nichiren Buddhist that he should be. When you see the above video you will note that Alan Billups is the poster child, the shinning example or Japanese mind manipulation and African American marginalization.
How could any man stand in the name of Buddhist faith and be lead to the path of Mind manipulation in regards to Japanese Buddhism. While writing this email to Alan, Alan apparently got some documentation and posted the information to me. He tells me to chant two hours before I read this information. Those of you who read this upcoming debate between Alan Billups and Anthony “Amp” Elmore please note that Alan is dealing with me as if I was “some kind of a punk.” I do not mean that Alan is disrespectful. Alan knows good and well that when you make a challenge or debate any issue he must first follow standard rules of engagement. Alan knows that I am not “WEAK” yet he bring some “WEAK” stuff to me. This is what I mean: “Alan Knows that he must come with “Gosho.”
Let me give Alan a Gosho passage:
In the Gosho Nichiren Daishonin wrote about the issue of "Blind Faith." In the Gosho writings of Nichiren Daishonin he writes in the Gosho: Teachings, Practice and Proof: "The words of the various teachers are in themselves of no use at all. The Buddha gave strict counsel against following them with his statement in the Nirvana Sutra, “Rely on the Law and not upon persons." When Mr. Alan Billups sends a writing that is not from the Sutra or Gosho Alan knows that Shakyamuni Buddha gave strict Council “Rely on the Law and not upon persons.” Mr. Alan Billups know very well that he must come from the Gosho. While writing this Alan sends this to me and this is what Alan writes: The followers and believers of Mount Minobu all failed to grasp the fundamental meaning of the Law within the Master Disciple relationship. Devedatta was the first example of how comprehension of the doctrine and logic of the teachings still can lead one to the realm of the Great Avichie Hell. He for example had complete grasp of all the 80,000 teachings of Buddhism and fell into Hell alive. At times when great confusion prevails within the teachings, the only exact and true path exist and is held by one single person, the High Priest of Nichiren Shoshu. A special transmission of the teachings only exist within his life on a very profound level, this is beyond the level of human comprehension. As a believer develops deep and profound faith and practice to the true object of devotion, The Great Entity of the Mystic Law, The Gohonzon, the wisdom of the Buddha opens up within the life of the believer. At this stage of faith the believer will receive profound insight and a transmission of the Law that provides the wisdom to act in the appropriate capacity to transmit the teachings of the Buddha in it's purest form.
Please compare what Alan writes and what Nichiren Daishonin and Shakyamuni writes. The Nirvana Sutra is clear “Rely on the Law and not upon persons.” There is not one single word in the Gosho where Nichiren Daishonin writes that we must rely on one single person. Shakyamuni says that we are to “Rely on the Law and not upon persons.” I would like for Alan to show me in any Gosho where Nichiren Daishonin says that there are teachings beyond “human Comprehension.” Nichiren Daishonin writes that the key to understanding is embracing the Lotus Sutra and Chanting Namu Myoho Renge Kyo.

It is incredulous that my friend Mr Alan Billups who I considered a Buddhist Scholar will write that the practice of our chanting to our Gohonzon is planting a see to fall into hell. The Gosho does not back up what Alan writes. In the Gosho “Questions and Answers about embracing the Lotus Sutra” the Daishonin writes this as to why we fall into hell: “Lack of faith is the basic failing that causes a person to fall into hell. Therefore, the sutra states, “If with regard to this sutra one should harbor doubt and fail to believe, one will fall at once into the evil paths.”

It is incredulous because I considered my friend Alan Billups a Buddhist Scholar. While this man is my friend he is more of an agent for “Japanese Nationalist.” I have been a Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist for 40 years and I find Nichiren Shoshu Priest to be more of “Japanese Nationalist” than teachers of Buddhism. Let me tell you the greatest discrepancy that I found in my friend Alan Billups was his lack of dept of understanding and propagating the “LOTUS SUTRA.” This is What Nichiren Daishonin writes about the matter: Nichiren writes in the Gosho “since their meaning is still shallow and fails to approach that of the Lotus Sutra , they relate secular matters in terms of Buddhism, whereas the Lotus Sutra explains that in the end secular matters are the entirety of Buddhism.” The Lotus Sutra means dealing in our everyday lives and finding solutions from within our own lives. This is how my friend Alan deals with Buddhism; “ Alan relates secular matters in terms of Buddhism.” This is how he is taught in Nichiren Shoshu. The Lotus Sutra explains that “in the end secular matters are the entirety of Buddhism”.

This is the “Real Deal” Alan can deal better than most people about “Buddhist Theory.” My knowledge cannot compare to Alan in regards to “Buddhist Theory.” The Lotus Sutra explains that in the end secular matters are the entirety of Buddhism.” Forget all of the Buddhist Theory let us find a way to get Buddhism to the African American Community. Here we have Mr. Alan Billups the most articulate English speaking Buddhist in the world. Instead of Mr. Alan Billups being on radio, Television, News paper and world media. This brother is stuck posting stuff he wrote 10 years ago on Facebook.
In my 40 years of practicing Buddhism I have never heard any Japanese who can touch Mr. Alan Billups. In his post he writes about Daibadatta. What Alan fails to share in his writing is that Daibadatta was able to attain enlightenment because of the “Lotus Sutra.” We who are Nichiren Buddhist should understand that Nichiren Daishonin writes that we can attain Buddha hood by embracing the Lotus Sutra and Chanting Namu Myoho Renge Kyo.
This letter will be Posted on the Proud Black Buddhist World Association Website. I will also write what Mr. Alan Billups wrote to me. I want Alan to show me in the Gosho that if I practice to a 100% digital Nichiren original Gohonzon where it states that I am “Planting the Seed to Fall into Hell.”

In the Gosho “The Daimoku of the Lotus Sutra” Nichiren Daishonin writes : “ The Lotus Sutra, wherein the Buddha honestly discarded expedient means, says that one can “gain entrance through faith alone And the Nirvana Sutra, which the Buddha preached in the grove of sal trees on the last day of his life, states, “Although there are innumerable practices that lead to enlightenment, if one teaches faith, then that includes all those practices.”
There is know where in the Gosho about a single person having the Knowledge. The Daishonin teaches that we should teach “Faith” in the Lotus Sutra. In the writings of Nichiren Daishonin he mentions the Lotus Sutra about 3000 times. There is know where in the Gosho where Mr. Alan Billups can show me where his Nichiren Gohonzon has a greater power than our digitally produced Nichiren Original Gohonzon. The Gosho reads that we can attain Buddhahood via the Lotus Sutra and Chanting Namu Myoho Renge Kyo.
For the record on January 15, 2015 I respectfully sent my Gohonzon back to Myogyoji Temple. In my personal life we are encouraging others to take faith in Nichiren Buddhism. We just do not have a “Japanese Master.” Our master is the “Lotus Sutra.”
Take care may long time friend,

Anthony “Amp” Elmore

If you practice to this object, will are planting a great seed to fall into hell. Spiritual law is very strict. There is no master guiding your life or actions at this time, which means your mind is now your master. There is no objective destination for you in this condition. The Nirvana Sutra states,"the impediment of all karma's is produced from ones false imagination"

Nichiren Daishonin writes in the Gosho “The True Aspect of the Gohonzon;” “Never seek this Gohonzon outside yourself. The Gohonzon exists only within the mortal flesh of us ordinary people who embrace the Lotus Sutra and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

He further states in this Gosho; “This Gohonzon also is found only in the two characters for faith. This is what the sutra means when it states that one can “gain entrance through faith alone.” Further the Daishonin writes;“With regard to the phrase ‘Buddhism is like an ocean that one can only enter with faith,’ even Confucius taught that faith is first and foremost. How much more so is this true of the profound doctrines of Buddhism! Without faith, how could one possibly enter? That is why the Flower Garland Sutra defines faith as the basis of the way and the mother of blessings.” The first volume of Great Concentration and Insight says, “How does one hear, believe in, and practice the perfect teaching to attain perfect enlightenment?” The first volume of On “Great Concentration and Insight” says, “To ‘believe in the perfect teaching’ means to awaken faith through doctrine and to make faith the basis of practice.”

Nichiren Daishonin is clear in the Gosho that we must “awaken faith through doctrine.” Whether you are Nichiren Shoshu, Nichiren Shu, the SGI or you practice Buddhism independently the “Gohonzon is found “ONLY” in faith alone. This is what Nichiren Daishonin teaches. It does not matter what brand of Nichiren Buddhism that you embrace the Gohonzon is found in “Faith Alone.”

We at the “Proud Black Buddhist World Association” will issue “prayer Gohonzons” that look like the Gohonzon in the picture. What is more important than the Gohonzon is the “Doctrine.” Nichiren Daishonin writes in the Gosho that you must “Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study, without practice and study there can be no Buddhism.” It is not a matter of just giving someone a Gohonzon the real task is to teach others exactly what is the Gohonzon and Buddhism. Nichiren Daishonin says that we “awaken faith through doctrine.”

People write and says things that have nothing to do with “Buddhist Teachings.” Nichiren Shoshu people write that the SGI have “Counterfeit” Gohonzon or a Gohonzon that is not issued by this sect or that sect the Gohonzon is false. Some write that the Gohonzon must be given the “Eye opening ceremony.” No matter what anyone may write or say. Nichiren Daishonin is very, very, very, very, very clear when he writes: “This Gohonzon also is found only in the two characters for faith. This is what the sutra means when it states that one can “gain entrance through faith alone.” Nichiren Daishonin is clear he did not add conditions he used the word “ONLY” and said “Gain entrance through Faith Alone”.

This is the point that we make; when you see someone chanting to a Gohonzon and reciting the Sutra encourage that person and be happy that that person is taking up the practice of the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin.

We at the “Proud Black Buddhist World Association” Will issue the following Black Gohonzon in a smaller “Prayer size.” We make clear that it is not the Gohonzon that makes the Gohonzon or Buddhism work. What makes Buddhism work is the “Faith of the person who embrace the Gohonzon.” This is not a counterfeit Gohonzon or something that we made. This is a Gohonzon that was created by Nichiren Daishonin. When you see the Black and Gold Gohonzons you will know that they come from the “Proud Black Buddhist World Association.” What beautiful Gohonzons that they issue.

Dear Alan:
How are you my friend? I am happy that you finally communicated back to me. Those of you who read this email Alan Billups is my friend and the baddest brother I know in Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism. Alan is a graduate of the Barbara Brennen school of energy healing. This brother speak fluent Portuguese. This brother is so bad that we at the “Proud Black Buddhist” Website put a special section dedicated to Alan Billups. I do not know of any Nichiren Buddhist more articulate than Mr. Alan Billups. This brother introduced Buddhism to Ethiopia, he traveled to India. This brother is a Buddhist leader in Brazil. Alan lives in D.C. In 1998 when I traveled to Ghana for the opening of the 1st Nichiren Shoshu Temple in Africa Alan Billups was there. This brother has seen the Dai Gohonzon over 50 times and he has traveled to Japan more than any Black Buddhist in America. Alan is a graduate from Howard University and the brother is by profession a “Physical Therapist.” When it comes to being articulate I do not know and any person in the world more articulate in regards to Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism than Mr. Alan Billups.
