Nichiren Daishonin writes in the Gosho "One Essential Phase:" The spirit within one’s body of five or six feet may appear in just one’s face, which is only a foot long, and the spirit within one’s face may appear in just one’s eyes, which are only an inch across."  We as humans are a body, mind and spirit. We can see the spirit in the eyes.  The Buddhist teachings of Nichiren Daishonin categorize the spirt to manifest itself 3000 ways. We call such manifestations a world. The Buddhist teachings names these as 10 basic worlds or the 10 worlds.
When you look at the picture of Elvis Preley you can see the "Sadness in his Face."  All humans suffer sadness. The Buddha sought to find the answer to Birth, Old Age, Sickness and Death.  The Buddha teaches that to live happy is a "Skill. Elvis mastered the skills of music, however he was unable to master the skills of happiness. In Buddhism happiness is a skill.
In the Gosho "Opening of the Eyes: Nichiren Daishonin writes:" The doctrine of three thousand realms in a single moment of life begins with the concept of the mutual possession of the Ten Worlds." In this lecture we started with the 10 aspects and not the 10 worlds. To understand the "Lotus Sutra" the Buddha's highest teaching we learn the doctrine of the 3000 Realms of "Ichinen Sanzen." The basic teachings starts with teaching of the 10 worlds. Let us list the Ten Words.
Nichiren Daishonin writes in the Gosho: "On attaining Buddhahood:" Life at each moment encompasses the body and mind and the self and environment of all sentient beings in the Ten Worlds as well as all insentient beings in the three thousand realms, including plants, sky, earth, and even the minutest particles of dust."  The Daishonin teaches that we sentient being live in the 10 worlds let us look below at a list of the 10 Worlds.  They are 1. Hell  2. Hunger 3. Animality 4. Anger 5. Humanity 6. Heaven 7. Learning 8. Self Realization  9. Bodhisativa  10. Buddhahood.
In the picture to the left we see Elvis in the world of Rapture sometimes called Heaven. Rapture is the 6th level of the 10 worlds. We go for Hell to Buddhahood the 10th world.
The 10 worlds are spiritual or emotions we experience.
When most Americans study Buddhism it is mixed with Asian culture and it becomes difficult to delineate Buddhism from Asia culture. All phenomena express the 10 worlds.   The 10 worlds are life conditions that we all experience. These life conditions show in our face and in our lives. It does not matter whether you are Buddhist or not.  Buddhahood is a "Life Condition" that all life have the "inherent potential" to achieve. We all may never have the potential of an Elvis Presley, but we all posse the same pontential to attain an Enlighten life condition or Buddhahood.
The lowest condition is  1. Hell. This photo appears to be a drugged up Elvis in a state of Hell. If he is not in a state of hell  he looks like Hell .
2. Hunger : Hunger or desire is a life condition we all experience.
3. Animality : Animality is a life condition where we express our instinct. We express our raw human qualities.
4. Anger: We humans express Anger in our lives.  Everyone express this emotion or world.

5. Humanity: Humanity is center life condition nothing good or bad just everyday ordinary living.

6. Heaven:   Heaven is the life condtion where we experience a temporary condition of happiness.
7.Learning:  Learning is a life condition where we absorb ourselves in learning and sometimes self development where we strive to better our selves and our understanding of life.
8. Realization:  This is the life condtion where you say to yourself that I am confident or Good.  You self-realize things.

9. Bodhisativa : This is the life condition where you show compassion and love for life or humanity. This could mean be concerned about our enviroment  or taking up a cause for justice.  We all have the Bodhisativa Nature inside of us.

10. Buddhahood: Over 3000 years ago a man born in India called the Buddha figured it all out. He preached in the Lotus Sutra that  all humans have the inherent capacity for Enlightenment or total, absolute happiness in this world.  Elvis Presley reached in the world as far has he could go. The Buddha nature was always in his heart that he was unable to tap his "inner enlightenment."

Learn how the 10 Worlds  and the 10 Aspects interacted to create the  Cause & Effect phenonmena that made Elvis Aaron Presley "The King of Rock and Roll" Music.
