Let us take the concept of “HAIR,” Hair is a being in actuality hair moves from an “ANIMATE OBJECT” to an “INANIMATE OBJECT” and hair is a “BEING.” All beings or entities posses the 3000 worlds, we gave you the “Ten Aspects” now let us share with you the “Ten Worlds” and how it relates to hair. Hair has a “KARMA” and depending on its KARMA it will manifest any of the “TEN WORLDS.” Let us review the Buddhist Concept of the “Ten Worlds.

Please note that Nichiren Buddhism teaches that all phenomena is life weather the object is animate or in animate.  Hair is an inanimate object and it is also a "BEING" that posse all of the 3000 worlds that affect our lives whether living or non-living. Hair has its own Karma and relationship to humans.  Although we do not look at this phenomena as a "Living Being" it is neverless a being and affects our lives. This being manifest itself as a 9 Billion dollar Black hair business and this is a living entity.  This lecture is a window into understanding Nichiren Buddhism.  We chant the phase Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is the essence of all phenomena and it explains the phenomena of the 3000 life conditions.

A hair weave can either be sewn or glued into existing hair. This process usually takes from 1 to 4 hours depending upon how much you sew in. Glueing usually last 3 weeks while sewing can last six weeks.  It is not uncommon for regular working women to spend over $1000 just to get some weave into their head.  The issue of "Good Hair" is a phenomena into itself and we use this concept to introduce Buddhist teachings.  We Nichiren  Buddhist use this faith to help us to bring out our highest life condition inside of ourselves called enlightenment or Buddhahood and we chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo to an object of worship called a Gohozon or "Cluster of Blessings."

Buddhism teaches that all phenomena manifest the “TEN WORLD.S”

The Gosho “Attaining Buddhahood in Lifetime “reads: “
Life at each moment encompasses the body and mind and the self and environment of all sentient beings in the Ten Worlds as well as all insentient beings in the three thousand realms, including plants, sky, earth, and even the minutest particles of dust. Life at each moment permeates the entire realm of phenomena and is revealed in all phenomena. To be awakened to this principle is itself the mutually inclusive relationship of life at each moment and all phenomena.

Whether the "Good hair" put on one's head is human hair, synthetic hair , chemical processed hair or your natural hair depending on your Karmic circumstances and if you are an African/American woman living in America the look and texture of one's hair plays a dominate role in the lives of African/American women.  There is a deep Karma associated with straight hair vs.coarse hair and the roots of this Karma can be traced back to India to the "Great war" between Blacks and Whites.

It is phenomenal, but the fact remains if you are perhaps the richest woman in the world like Oprah Winfrey or the a powerful woman in the world like Michelle Obama you will find that they both have to succumb to the phenomena or culturally dominated idea of “Good Hair” or rather what is most culturally feasible in our society.

Thousands of years ago the Brahmins in India were aware that after they defeated the Blacks they knew that they could forever dominate groups with psychological warfare. They created the cast system and they made sure that the Chandalas or Black people were never able to gain pride or faith and confidence in themselves.

Please note that during the course of training Africans to be slaves it was a "Strict Practice"of the slave masters to cut the hair of slaves to destroy their sense of cultural identity.   As far back as the Egyptian Pyramids Africans held their hair in high esteem and certain styles represented wealth and status among certain Africans and by cutting their hair the Africans lost their sense of cultural identity and they were made to hate their own cultural inheritance by defining their coarse hair as "Bad Hair" and they desired to have straight hair or "Good Hair"to define this phenomena as beauty.

In America during the course of Slavery a slave owner by the name of Willie Lynch created a fool proof method of how to train and maintain a slave mentality. Let us review parts of the Willie Lynch speech and get an understanding of how they used the issue of hair to create division, distrust, hate, jealousy, envy and madness (ANIMALITY).  The issue of hair was used to create division among Black people.  Black people in America who have straight how are awarded more privileges, opportunities, and adoration that those who have coarse hair.  This is talked about in the song by India Arie and akon "I am not my Hair."  Let  us look at the Willie Lynch teachings.  Please note a Japanese cannot teach this Buddhist subject.  Hair plays a big part of life in the African American community.  This lecture gives you a Buddhist insight into hair and the cause and effect relationships.
