1977: THE ATTEMPTED HIJACKING OF THE THREE TREASURES

Until 1991, the priests in the USA were legally employees of NSA. In the beginning the priesthood did not have it's own religious corporation in America. Priests in the USA were under the strict supervision and control of NSA, and had to subject to the demeaning manner of being sujugated to George M. Williams, the NSA General Director. Members were not permitted to meet with priests unless closely supervised by a high ranking SGI leader. Most members had never spoken directly to a priest, but instead, were encouraged to get "guidance" from an approved SGI leader.

Daisaku Ikeda Implements Plans of a Philosophy Separate from the Head Temple and the 750 Year-Old Kechimyaku of the Law

CORRUPTION OF THE LITURGY
In 1977, the Soka Gakkai placed extra prayers into the silent prayers of the Liturgy of Nichiren Shoshu. If the SGI was an independent sect it could have printed it's own liturgy as it does today. The corruption of the liturgy had many deep subliminal and emotional implications and meanings. Daisaku Ikeda was attempting to hijack the THREE TREASURES!

Fourth Prayer

"I pray for the Soka Gakkai to flourish and accomplish the merciful propagation of true Buddhism"

Fifth Prayer

"I express my deepest gratitude to the Soka gakkai's first President, Tsunesaboro Makiguchi, and to the second President Josei Toda, who totally dedicated themselves to kosen-rufu"

These new prayers, invented by Soka Gakkai, were a wedge that delineated SGI from Nichiren Shoshu. Kosen-Rufu is inherently the mission of Nichiren Shoshu, which SGI was a part of. Furthermore, Daisaku Ikeda issued the new prayer books without the knowledge of the priesthood. Nichiren Shoshu found out about the new corrupted prayers and at that point Soka Gakkai apologised and recalled the books. These prayers can still be found in the 1978 version of "Lectures on the Sutra" which was never recalled.

The new prayers were a major brain-washing scheme by Soka Gakkai to attempt to steal the Specific Heritage from the 750 year-old Nichiren Shoshu Religious Order by infusing the "Successive Presidents of Soka Gakkai" into the silent prayers. Daisaku Ikeda's attempt was nothing short of thievery and treachery.

The way Daisaku Ikeda attempted to steal Nichiren Daishonin's Specific Heritage of the Law was to try to convince SGI members of an enlightened mystical heritage of all Soka gakkai presidents, of which he of course, is one. This scheme was a way that Mr. Ikeda used to circumvent Nichiren Shoshu's historically documented Specific Heritage of the Law, or Kechimyaku that forms the basis of Nichiren Shoshu and Taisekiji, the head temple.

Daisaku Ikeda cleverly put spiritual issues of faith into the minds of members regarding the Kechimyaku of Buddhism, implying that it went from the First High Priest, Nikko Shonin, to first president Makiguchi, to second president Toda, and naturally, to himself.

Mr. Ikeda intentionally closed off the actual Kechimyaku of the successive High Priests, as well as 750 years of historical doctrines based upon this fact, by recklessly confusing the specific heritage (as recieved by each successive High Priest) and general heritage (that is recieved by all believers).

Daisaku Ikeda caused so much confusion in the minds of members that they began to believe that the "successive presidents" of Soka Gakkai were actually "Buddhas" -- including Daisaku Ikeda himself. As a result, the members of SGI began to naturally disregard and disrespect Nichiren Shoshu.

In 1979, Daisaku Ikeda apologised for his "immature faith" that caused him to act in such a diabolical manner.
