The question for me was how could I as a Buddhist strengthen my faith as a

“Cause & Effect”.
Buddhism teaches that phenomenon
happens not because of an omnipotent, omnipresent being, but phenomenon
happens because of the law of cause and effect.
The “Million Family March”
is a cause that brings it effects. The law of cause and effect is absolute and
just by putting forth an effort for the cause of the Family resulting effects
happen.
Taste of Africa”. The “Taste Of Africa” was my idea to promote African culture. At home I cook often and I have found that people really enjoy my African cooking. I have even had the pleasure to cook for celebrities like “Soul Singer” Jeffery Osborn and others. During the taste of Africa almost 400 people showed up at our backyard to eat down home African cooking. In my effort of cooking a few sisters and brothers volunteered to help me put things together and The “Million Family March” was more than a meeting for me instead it was a Family meeting and the idea of a million family march was a good thing and it became a test of my Buddhist Faith. So many, many African/Americans had many, many bad things to say about the march and most of all many of the Christian faith attacked the march and the Muslim Faith. I never identified the “Million Family March” as a Muslim event, instead for me it was Afro-centric heaven and an opportunity to participate in a positive cultural event organized by Black people.
Buddhist, better myself and become a better human. Months prior to the March in Washington D.C. we were hit with many challenges that tested our faith and integrity.
