Ruth Owusu Overcomes Life Threatening
Illness Re-Kindles Her Resolve To the
Gohonzon & Buddhist Faith
It would be very difficult to convice Mrs. Ruth Owusu-Ansah that the Buddhist
practice does not work. Mrs. Owusu shares her experience of how she and three
other nurses were diagnosed with a disorder that resulted in symtoms of a stroke.
Mrs. Ansah was admitted to Korle Bu Teaching hospital for treatment along with
the other nurses. Among the group admitted she was the only Buddhist. Many
friends and family tried to presuade her to give up her Buddhist and embrace
Christianity as the only means and hope of a cure. Despite her worsing condition
she perservered by refusing to give up her faith and intensified her chanting of
Daimoku to the Gohonzon. In the end she began responding to treatment and
fully recovered 100% and was able to return to work. Many was surprised that
she recovered because the other Nurses who were admitted will her died. Mrs.
Ruth Owusu Ansah understand why she was able to recover and the illness has
helped her to rekindle her faith in the Gohonzon. Mrs. Ansah has the resolve to
do many shakubu many to repay her debt of gratitude to the Gohonzon. If you
