Anthony "Amp" Elmore is a five time World Karate/Kickboxing World Champion who lives in Memphis, Tennessee.  While in high School in Memphis, Tennessee Elmore became a Black Revolutionary and Community activist.  Elmore while in college joined with a Black nationalist Strategist who was an aide for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee the aide formed a new organization in Memphis that attracted youth activist.

Elmore a freshman in college quit school to join the Black liberation movement in 1972.  In 1974 Elmore joined the NSA or Nichiren Shoshu of America Buddhist movement.  Elmore quit the Buddhist movement when he discovered a culture of "Japanese Domination" and little opportunity for the inclusion of African and African/American culture.

In 1996 Elmore traveled to Japan and joined the Buddhist parent organization called Nichiren Shoshu based in Japan.  Elmore worked for decades trying to seek reforms in the Japanese organizations who propagated a Buddhist that was not inclusive of African and African/American culture and history.

Frustrated with the Japanese "Ethnocentrism" Elmore organized "The Proud Black Buddhist World Association."  The organization is a Buddhist organization open to everyone.  What is unique about the "Proud Black Buddhist World Association" is the practice of the inclusion of African and African/American Buddhist culture and history.   The Buddhist history includes "Black History" Elmore notes that the Japanese have extricated Black history from Buddhism.
