N ichiren Daishonin writes in the Gosho "A Letter From Sado"; " The most dreadful things in the world are the pain of fire, the flashing of swords and the shadow of death". What I am about to write pains me deeply and I ask those of you who read this lecture to consult your Priest or consult someone who has a greater knowledge of Buddhism than myself to answer the questions that I am about to bring up. I am very happy that we have a "Black Buddhist" website because the issues that I am about to discuss will more than likely never be brought up by someone other than a Black person. Some people will go so far as to call us racist because we bring up issues that deal with Black people and we do not apologize for bringing up such issues. From the bottom of my heart I believe that Black people should discuss issues dealing with Black people. If a Japanese or white person dealt with an issue that concerns Japanese or Whites I would not be offended by anyone dealing with an issue that concerns them and I do not consider such actions racist. Let me get into my lecture.
