Frank Baum put his heart and soul into the "Wizard of Oz". Later down the road a pioneer like Walt Disney obtain the rights to the movie and later MGM or Louis B. Mayer decided to bring the picture to life August 12, 1939. The "Wizard of Oz" was just tales of a father told to his grandchildren, then it became a book, then it became a movie gaining momentum with each person breathing life into the story. Buddhism is a living religion and it is gaining life each day.

Let us get back to the Buddhist term
"Kyochi Myogo" . If a human being puts their life or spirit into an object the object takes on a living character. If you have an evil spirit you can take your spirit and transform that spirit into a living entity. The Gosho reads, "Only Buddhas know the true entity of all phenomenon". Everything has a nature whether it be animate (living) and in-animate (not living). The "Wizard of oz" movie gained legs or its spirit went from one person to the next affecting life after life. I encourage you to get the modern re-released version and learn of the
background of the movie and stories now just told.

The wizard of oz movie screenplay was a collaboration of several writers with each adding his or her life to the story. Not only did the movie have several writers the movie had a multitude of directors with each adding his own quality. I will not bore you with simple details but one example was the ruby slippers in the book the slippers were silver not ruby. In the casting of the movie the director sought the best actors for the parts.
