At the time a young 10-year-old genius that America loved by the name of Shirley Temple was auditioned for the part of Dorothy. Shirley Temple did not get the part because she failed on the singing part. One may ask the question how could a Shirley Temple fail a singing audition? There is Karma involved in this movie and somewhere in space and time Judy Garland was destined for the role of Dorothy. Judy Garland got the role of Dorothy not because of her dancing ability, but, she got the role because she could sing with soul. Just think Judy Garland was about 22 years old when she made this film. In earlier scenes she wore a blond wig and a different hairstyle but one of the directors changed her make-up and put those ponytail hairstyle on her.
One of the directors of the film interest was not money but he wanted to leave a legacy for his grandchildren by making the best movie ever. I can give you much more background on the film but my purpose was to explain to you how an object (story) could come alive and be a living entity by achieving Kyochi Myogo. The Wizard of oz certainly has spiritual qualities that continue to affect the lives of millions worldwide.
