Demand diversity in Buddhism

We hold that the United States of America is the most Diverse Country in the world. The 21st Century demands a profound Universal teachings that is relevant to the times, a teaching that is logical fit our modern times. The Teaching of one who we call the "True Buddha" Nichiren Daishonin left a perfect teaching that can bring peace and happiness to all humankind. Just as America has not lived up fully to her creeds, neither has the wonderful religion and philosophy of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. On January 21, 2013 American President Barack Obama Jr. took the oath of office becoming the 1st African/American to be re-elected for a second term in office.

What made the Presidents swearing in more unique was his using the Bibles of America's 16th President Abraham Lincoln and the Bible of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. While America has a great Constitution America was incomplete. It was Abraham Lincoln who issued the "Emancipation Proclamation" Freeing all slaves in 1863 . Lincoln went further by fighting to get Congress to pass the "Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Contititution" that outlawed slavery in America.

Although Slavery as outlawed in America in 1865; It was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others who fought for America to live up to her creeds via fighting and getting Civil Rights legislation passed in America making discrimination based on race, religion, or sex illegal in America.

While my Buddhist faith compelled me to have a Buddhist wedding the actions of Nichiren Shoshu Priest in America runs antithetical to the African/American cause of social justice in America. The great religion and Teachings of Nichiren Daishonin should never be the antithesis for social justice not only in America, the Religion of Nichiren Daishonin should become the "True Cause" of World peace.

The Buddhas Shakyamuni and Nichiren Daishonin were not some great Buddhist leader like Daisaku Ikeda who has access to multi Billions who even wears custom shoes, who can give a great speech. Nor were they like many of our Nichiren Shoshu Priest in America who have an "America Express Gold Card" in his wallet, instant airline tickets or a monthly expense account. The Buddha and their diciples fought to propagate Buddhism with their lives.
